Alex and Henry Part Deux

It may not become a youtube sensation like the talking twin babies, but the second meeting of these two was still entertaining.

Five month old big girl stuff

Since her five-month birthday, Alex has added a number of new tricks to her repertoire -- acknowledging her amigo Diego (even reaching out to pet him, or occasionally yank his fur), standing up in her new stand up toy thing, and even waking up with a stegosaurus Mohawk hairdo.

Food

Over the last few weeks, Alex has begun reaching for any eating/drinking utensil we happen to be holding (see the wine glass pic in a previous post). We put two and two together, and decided it was time to give people-food a try. For those keeping score at home, Alexandra Rose Brokaw's first solid food was pumpkin -- fitting because of Paige and Blair Franklin's obsession with Halloween, but in reality it just happened to be the only food suitable for babies in our pantry. Since then she's gummed some watermelon, carrot, and ingested and promptly spit out some rice cereal, whatever that is.

We've been busy!

Our big girl has had a big last few weeks, seeing family and meeting two potential suitors -- Henry and Hudson. Next we'll try and find some boys with "I" names, as we slowly work our way down the alphabet in search of "The One."

Four Months

With more than 120 days under her belt, Alex Rose is truly starting to get the hang of things on the outside. These days she yaps away quite a bit, she can roll over, she can stick her entire hand in her mouth, talk her way backstage at Democratic Party conventions, and do all sorts of other great tricks.
