Firsts and more firsts

Sorry we've been so delinquent in updating the blog. We've been far too busy checking off new accomplishments on Alex's to-do list. Here are some recent firsts: First Easter, First Passover, First Plane Flight, First Day-Time Meltdown in a San Francisco Bar*, and First Time Forced to Wear a Baby Bonnet.

*note: this is not her first bar, nor is it her first meltdown in a bar, nor is it her first trip to a bar during the day, but it's the first time that's all happened at once in The City.

Laugh-In

While Paige was out walking Diego this afternoon, Alex decided it would be a good time to debut her laugh during a friendly match of peek-a-boo (I won). Fortunately, she kept up her LOL session after I ran to get the flipcam.

Three months (and change)

We have been derelict in our blogging duties, so here are some photos covering the big moments of the last few weeks -- the 1/4 year birthday, the beginning of baseball season, the beginning of Scrabble season, and of course more flower headband photos.

Congresswoman Droolsey

Not to be confused with the great Congresswoman Woolsey, our newly-nicknamed Congresswoman Droolsey has been showing off her newest salivary talents quite a bit the last few weeks. Other than that, nothing else especially new or exciting to report quite yet -- with the exception of her finally surpassing the 10-pound mark. In other words, the Gentlewoman from California has reached in three months on the outside what Kelly Rayburn (biggest baby born in Humboldt County in 1981) weighed seven or eight months in utero.

Alex Goes Hollywood

There were many more firsts (and seconds) for Alexandra during her first road trip to the Southland. First baby shower (other than her own); first time being naked at a baby shower (other than her own); first time meeting the Southern California Brokaws; first meeting of the newest and longest tenured Brokaws (her great great uncle Norman); her second professional photoshoot, courtesy of great uncle Norm (more photos to come), just to name a few.

Two month hodgepodge

Alex's 60th-67th days on Earth have been quite eventful -- there was the Oscar Party, the 3-day hospital stay, multiple girly-clothes dress-up sessions, and lots of smiles.
